Do's And Dont's of EXAMS
Preparation Stage:
-
Do direct any questions you may have to your GSI's and/or
professors.
-
Do form study groups with people in your section.
-
Do try any review problems and practice midterms that are
available.
-
Don't overlook the material covered in section
-
Don't neglect your textbook
-
Don't prepare for an exam based on hearsay (it's always
multiple choice, it's really easy, he never tests from text,
no one ever gets A's, etc.)
-
Do start studying early
-
Do get enough sleep the night
before
During the Exam
-
Do come prepared with appropriate BlueBooks, Scantrons,
pencils, etc. (all should be available at Ned's or ASUC
bookstore).
-
Do arrive early; everyone decides to show up on exam day.
-
Do turn OFF your cell phone.
-
Don't sleep in!
-
Don't freak out. Thirty years from now, you won't even
remember it.
After the Exam
-
Do stop writing when time is called
-
Don't crowd your GSI or professor; there will be plenty of
time for questions later.
-
Don't have a breakdown; chances are you did better than you
did, or others might feel the same way about the test if you
have prepared adequately.
-
Do take the time to celebrate the end of a huge test. You
survived!
